Sometimes dogs also have health issues that can cause them to be overweight or look overweight. Like even when Callie was losing weight she still had a pot belly from Cushings. Other dogs who get hypothyroidism end up getting over weight too. Tumors in the stomach can cause an overweight appearance also. Sometimes it’s not simply being fed table scraps or to many table scraps and there is more to it. I am one of those humans who gets judged for being overweight and people wonder why I don’t just lose it but I have several health conditions that make it hard like PCOS (have had it since 12) and recently put on medication for Hypothyroidism.
