Thanks matese, I am figuring it is some kind of allergy and I have changed his food a couple times but I haven’t been able to land on one that doesn’t seem to bother him.
I have taken him to the vet a couple times regarding this and they tried him on an anti-itch medication that didn’t seem to help. I recently got a prescription for him again for a new medication called Trimeprazine 5mg (Vanectyl-P) and it is supposed to be an anti-histamine. I will see how that goes for him.
He does seem like his mouth bothers him more when he comes back in from being outside, and he loves eating grass so I am not sure if the allergy could be to grass. He also seems more bothered after eating wet canned food that I give him so I am not sure if that is contributing as well. |
