Hello!

I have a 3 year old yorkie and for the past few months I’ve noticed him scratching his face a lot, rubbing his face on the carpet, etc. It seems like the area around his mouth is bothering him. Over the last couple months with all of the itching he does, it appears the area has gone a slight pink colour and is losing fur. Does anyone know what might cause this?

We have tried changing his food to a different protein source but I am not really sure what he might be allergic to, if it is due to allergies. I tried taking away some of his rubber toys as well as I wasn’t sure if that could be causing it either.

Any insights would be appreciated.
