Ask your breeder if her breeding pups have been genetically screened. I seriously doubt it if he/she is saying that.

Wow... great info. She is a breeder on the AKC website and I have that certificate but it is the lowest level meaning she doesn't do the show-circuit. I am going to the vet on the 13th for the final shots and I will ask them for advise then go on from there. These breeders "get cha" and once you have bonded with your puppy, not much leverage with them. Thank you!!
