I just went through this curbside vet business, it sucks.
What I did was made a list of all my questions. My dog had an injury, I gave a detailed description how he was improving.
What you do is make a list of all questions you want to ask. When they come to collect Milo give your list to the person that takes him.

All vets work differently, with my vet a tech bought my dog back and answered all my questions and told me how my dog was coming along. Some vets will call you on your cell phone while they have Milo or may call you later in the day. Every vet works differently, you should call and ask what their protocol is. Any concerns about Milo write it in that list.
