It can if the mask is thick enough to catch droplet spread full of cold, covid 19 or other airborne germs, is always treated after wearing as a bio hazard and as long as mask never touched with ungloved hands which can contaminate it or touched with ungloved hands but hands immediately washed for at least 20 seconds, thoughorly dried; and then removed immediately at home with gloved hands straight into the trash along with the gloves. Once worn, the mask oand any gloves that remove it must be treated as bio hazard for best practices.
