We walk Bella twice a day for about 30 minutes to the park and back, during spring, summer and fall. She's 2+ years old and doesn't like the cold weather. We avoid large dogs and cross the street if we need to. Usually the owner of large dogs go in another direction first. Bella never barks at dogs, however, sometimes other small dogs bark at her so we walk away. If a small dog is friendly, they wag their tail and if Bella wags her tail too, we meet for a moment, like quick socialization, so they can smell each other in a friendly way, otherwise we move on.
Also, this winter I'm hoping to test to see if she will try to walk on snow the first time and I've got winter boots for her and a warm coat ready. Her first 2 winters she was bored inside the house and we feel the difference and energy in her when she goes out. She loves it! I hope she will like winter. But it's up to her to decide, lol. |
