I am the same way because, even tho that other dog may be friendly Cody wants to go in for the kill, the other possible friendly dog senses this and things can turn ugly in a blink of a eye.

Before this pandemic, when we were allowed in the vets waiting room, were the worse of the worse with ppl coming in with dogs, thankfully I was always able to sit in the corner where I could manage to hold him back, constantly repeating LEAVE IT in my most forceful tone. Nothing worked. Scares me to death, I never had a dog this aggressive. I think he became worse when he got the possum.
