Then start this new procedure, this way if these herbs give him diarrhea type poop I will know it. His stomach is just beginning to heal, I am not going to mess it up.

I know that you generally trust your vet, but what little I’ve read about that Chinese herb makes me kind of uneasy. Not that I have anything against Chinese products in general, but herbal products don’t have the quality control and safety protocols we expect in pharmaceuticals ... and quality control and safety protocols important when you’re dealing with products that have toxic ingredients. And from what little I’ve read, Double P II has very toxic ingredients.

If I were in your place, I think I would tell the vet that it didn’t agree with my dog and ask for something less toxic.
