He is here, he is here, he is here!
Got to the breeder Saturday evening... and we were wonderfully greeted by her three absolutely beautiful female Beiwers (MooMoo is expecting in a few days)...
My girls (7&8 yr daughters) and I had to take out shoes off before coming to prevent Parvo from coming in. This was the 1st time we were actually meeting face to face, so she gave us a tour of her "home" (really the beiwers home)
What a nice set up... Everything was neat, clean and organized. An area for the big boys and girls, an area for the energetic pups, an area for “sick dogs” and a whelping room. Everything was under one room After all that we got a chance to meet and play withour little man. What a sweetly pie… he played with the girls and allowed them to pick him up. His momma was there and she (Sophia - Yorkie) was just the cutest thing ever. So friendly. She was also over the girls.
While the girls were being “trained by the breeders husband, we went to do adopting papers . She was very detailed and went over the contract, the care information, the Do's and Don't. Armed with our care package Chance said good bye to his Momma and off we went!
The girls took turn holding Chance while I drove to my sister house. He did great... no car sickness at all... (even though I was prepared.)
The 1st night was great... He loves his crate.. it helped that we had a blanket with is litter smell on it for him to cuddle with. We free fed, and he did #1 and #2 on the wee wee pad like a pro... It looked like he slept the whole night, because every time I checked on him (about every 2 hrs) he was sleeping. (I did give him some Nutra-cal before bed just in case)
Sunday morning it was time to head back to Mobile (6 hrs drive)... He did great. We stopped three times... and each time we put the wee wee pad down on the floor of the car and each time he did his business with out a problem... He snacked on his food and drank water... and just cuddled
2nd night (last night) he did great again.
This evening we are taking him for his 1st vet check up... His coat is so silky and long... some gold is starting to come through on his head.. but his body is black. He has 4 white paws, with some gold and them black. He has a white chest.
He actually needs his paws trimmed and his ears are not all the way up... He is eating pooping, playing and sleeping like a champ.
What a joy he has been so far!
I will post new pictures this afternoon!
