This morning I gave him his kibble, he ate it with no hesitation, good sign that his stomach is feeling better, at 9 I'll give him some chicken and rice. I am now waiting for him to make his first poop so I can see if the diarrhea is improving.

I am now concerned with holding back on those herbs did I take 10 steps back on his neck and back recovery. Eliminating that diarrhea was my primary concern.

The thing about herbs and even supplements is there is very little to back them up as far as studies go so the full side effects and if they really work is unknown. They also aren’t going to work for every dog or even the same for every dog. I’m very skeptical with Chinese herbs and would never even take them myself. Some of them can be pretty dangerous for not just dogs but humans. I understand you trust your vet but sometimes we have to do a little research ourselves.
