I am so very sorry you're going through this, nothing worse. But he's a tough little guy and his eating is a really good sign and sometimes they know better than we what works for them. My comments are based strictly on my feelings and nothin' more than that! |
Thank you Dana, sometimes we just have to do what we have to do when you cannot reach your vet. I know she is not at the clinic, I will not call because I don't want anyone but my vet to see him. I'm pretty sure she will be in on Friday, I'll call then. Until then, he's off those herbs and I see a big improvement this morning, just waiting now for that first poop lol, did I ever think I would be so anxious and excited for my dog to poop lol.

Hopefully you will get a chance to get your regular vet's advice on how to progress today. You trust her, and she knows little Cody. Hang in there, and let us know how you both are doing after she gets back to you. You are in my thoughts! (((hugs) |
Thank you Joy.
All my passed dogs got table food, not from me, from who ever came for dinner or who's house me and my girls went to, ppl were always feeding them even when I demanded them to stop. I did give them 1/4 slice of bacon maybe twice a month but many months apart when I treated myself to making me a week end breakfast, who knew then bacon was bad for them. How did my dogs live long lives with the lil bits of bad things I gave them like 1/2 a seedless skin off grape every once in a while. Boy what I have learned since joining YT.
So, Mr. Cody gets nothing from the table but a piece of boiled potato, or a bit of plain pasta, I buy fruits and veggies just for him. I am very strict with what foods he eats. My vet will have to use something else to treat his injury because I am not going back to the two herbs that caused this horrific diarrhea, the Metronidazole that is to stop diarrhea did not work this time around, so that's out as well. This Pandemic and not being able to see / speak to my vet is becoming overwhelming, I don't know exactly what treatment was given to Cody, I get the bill, see what I was billed for, I call to ask what this and that was for, I am told when a tech is free they will call and explain but they don't call. I have a hair line trigger temper when it comes to my dog. I cannot get answers and its beyond frustrating.
