If your vet prescribed Methocarbamol for diarrhea, you might get a second opinion or look into getting another vet. That's always prescribed as a muscle relaxant. Diarrhea is one of its side-effects in some patients. Metronidazole sounds kind of like it, is used for diarrhea. I only mention this as we need to know exactly what meds our babies are taking at all times in case of emergency, drug history required.

Sure glad little Cody on the mend. Might try leashing him close to you up on the couch to prevent all jumping, even onto pillows. In his inflamed state, even a tiny jump can cause more irritation and inflammation, even injury, as inflammation causes swelling around it, extra pressure on tender, injured areas that become more easily re-injured. Just a thought. Cody, boy, now you get well!

Having a Yorkie in the house just like having a tiger by the tail!
