I've always free fed my yorkies, and I've never fed a raw diet before.
I mentioned above that I was a little surprised by what the breeder was feeding. She explained why she fed the raw, then commented about feeding grain free... then said she free feeds Eukanuba, which isn't grain free. so I was confused, it didn't make sense to me.

My pups have always eaten Royal Canin, Science Diet or Pro Plan (way back in the day... ) I will ask my vet about it for sure.
