This ER visit where he was kept, they returned his harness, collar and leash, they use the slip lead also, Cody has no trachea issues, using this type of lead can cause issues. With vet visits we have no choice, it's the vets rules that have to be followed.
This isn’t how some vets are doing it. I have heard a lot of Vets come outside or talk to you on the phone. The AVMA is the one who put the basics for this out there and the states vet boards followed. In Maryland the vet board said practices with larger buildings can start to let people in but as far as I know no one is doing that. I refuse to except this as the new normal. You would never send your baby in the doctors office by themselves so it shouldn’t be like that with pets either. It should be wait in your car until your appointment and then one person come in with the pet.
