We tried today. And I really think he did try, although he didn’t seem to know what I was asking of him. The problem was, when I picked up his front paws and tried to put them onto the next lower step, his back paws slid forward off the step too. It will be a stretch for him to be on two steps at once, and he doesn’t understand that I’m asking him to stretch. I will try again ... but I think I need to find shallower steps for him to learn on.
