I also bought Gidget from a breeder at 6 weeks and 1.3 lbs. I trained her on pee pads so she never touched the ground until she had all her shots. When we went outside, she rode in a pet stroller. I free fed her on Royal Canin puppy food and she did fine. She turned 4 this past January and still weighs 5.6 lbs. She's never had any visits to the Vet except for her yearly visits. I know how fortunate I've been and didn't realize that she was probably too young to leave her mother. Praying that you have the same good experience with your new little one.
