They are AWESOME! I was going to suggest you go there but then I just saw you posted this.
Not sure how it will be with Covid but when I had to take Jackson there years ago, I got to sit in the room with him the whole time and had my head near his while they flipped him over to do the ultrasound. It really gave me peace of mind and he was such a good boy. They also explained everything in DETAIL as she was performing the ultrasound.
He luckily only had a mild heart murmur. But it was a wonderful experience (all considering, of course) and I'd go back there in a heartbeat.
I do not know anything about canine mitral valve insufficiency.
Jackson was "diagnosed" in 2017 with:
- mild increase in right and left ventricular outflow tract velocity (innocent cause for soft heart murmur)
- trace tricuspid regurgitation
- normal heart size and function.
- No medications.
He's had no increases or symptoms etc and is still doing super well at 11 years old.
