A day or two later I noticed small scabs and redness around the right side of his jawline and side neck area. The scabs are falling off by themselves which shows healing is occurring. I have not seen him scratching at the areas but automatically knew it was from him being groomed. I did not want to put anything on the area until I did some research. Since Aloe is hard to find right now I was advised that Witch Hazel works well. Have any of you had this happen and what was your GO-2 remedy to ease the irritation? |
Witch hazel kind of burns tender, raw areas on me so don't know about using it on the de-scabbing muzzle, which is likely tender and raw under the scabs still. I'd tend to use the tiniest bit of Neosporin to help heal and soothe clipper burn w/out the burning and hopefully prevent any secondary infection setting in. Here's a link I found recommending anti-itch cream and possibly antibiotics, vetting.
