Are you saying your pup is limping intermittently? I don’t mean to question you, but you did say the limping stopped after an hour or two, but you’re still obviously very concerned.

There are dozens of reasons a dog might limp, many of them minor. I can’t think of any, though, that would cause a dog to limp but be completely non painful. Pain is the main reason a dog wouldn’t want to put weight on a paw or leg ... unless the paw or leg is completely numb, but you would probably notice other symptoms (such as stumbling around and/or falling) if there were numbness instead of pain.

I hope the vet finds something minor to explain this. Let us know!
