If he isn’t licking you don’t really have to put the Ecollar on unless you can watch him. My boys were not interested in licking so I just put it on at bedtime. Callie shuts down in an ecollar so I had to watch her carefully with all her surgeries and only used it at night too. My moms now passed rescue was not slowed down by the ecollar he would still play with toys but occasionally got a toy stuck lol.
