My Ziva of 12 years just passed last week. I am just heart broken. I rescued her off the streets and the vet thought she was around 7 months at the time. She wasn't your typical yorkie and I wouldn't be surprised if she had some Silky in her as well. She was about 17 lbs and silver/tan/grey hair and as smart as they come. We called her street girl as that is where I found her, took her to a shelter and then when no one claimed her adopted her. She could almost read my mind. My goal is to rescue again and hopefully get another yorkie or yorkie mix. I have worked with a local rescue group for about 3 years now and foster little dogs but mostly help with home visits. Very seldom in the past have we gotten any Yorkies. But I will keep looking at rescues.
