I just brought Jax home from his surgery. He’s a little groggy still, but he seems fine. He had his neuter, he had three baby teeth pulled, and he had his microchip implanted. The vet said the neuter was a cake-walk, and the teeth were loose and about to fall out, so he didn’t even need a stitch in his mouth.
The only problem, for me, was that I was expecting to get a call between 10 and 12, but I didn’t get a call until almost 2pm. The vet was very apologetic — she had an emergency surgery this morning that she had to do before Jax’s surgery. But by almost 2, I was thinking Jax’s anesthesia had gone wrong and she was working up the resolution to call and tell me....
Anyway, I’m just glad it’s over. Now is the really fun part: making him rest for seven to ten days.
This is yesterday, after his pre-surgery bath. Still a scruff-ball, although he’s getting a little better about the brush, believe it or not.
