 New crating problems
Max is 4 months old and I have had him abou 10 days. Up until yesterday we were doing pretty good about the house training. We go out once an hour throughout the day and until about 10pm at night, depending on whether he's sleeping. He stays in his playpen throughout the day with the exception of play time, learning time and going outside to "go". He sleeps in his carrier because the crate he came in looks to big to me and besides i tried that and he poo'd in it twice.
Last night I have no clue what happened. He stopped warning me he had to go and he poo'd twice in his carrier. Once around 10pm and then again around 3am. Prior to that he warned me by whining. I always got up immediately.
The only thing that has changed is I started giving him BilJac treats (1/2 of one) when he'd go potty. Oh yeah, that "go potty" command was working real well too.
Now this morning, I couldn't even get him to do his first pee of the morning but as soon as he came inside he did it.
Is this a phase? or was I just lucky the first 6 days I had him |
