Well, we can't stay isolated forever with a brand new disease that seems to spread like chicken pox & measles, can be every bit as miserable to its victims & survived by most yet hurts some already impaired and older ones pretty badly, as so many other diseases do; so an outdoor parade of many involved citizens lets those residents know they are remembered by their community. Looks like the residents who turned out in front to watch obviously agree and no doubt many watching from their windows with delight at this show of public affection.
