She wouldn't answer me, so I rushed her into the house and put some honey on her gums ( I didn't know what was going on, I thought maybe hypoglycemia?) She started to come around a little then drank some water, then I took her outside but she still wouldn't walk and she had diahrreah. I called the vet and brought her back right away. Her gums were still blue and gray but she was walking again by the time I got her there. They gave her a steroid injection and benadryl injection then we had to wait for 45 minutes until her gum color was back to normal. They said she could have died and she had a SEVERE reaction to her vaccines. They told me she can never have more than one vaccine at a time again and before hand they have to give her bendaryl and a steroid again. Then keep us for at least an hour to make sure she is ok. I was soooo upset yesterday and I held Josie all day. I am afraid for her to have anymore shots. Has this happened to anyone else?
You sound like you did the right think....I lost my sweet, sweet, Annie 3 years ago this very way.....Routine Shots.
She had them and within 30 min...sent her into an auto-immune collapse. After a blood transfusion..and 48 hr. vigil...I lost her at age 3...
Beautiful apricot toy poodle...named Broadway Annie....

I have Sophie now to occupy my heart. .and she does...but yearly shots coming up also sends me into cold sweats...and yes...I'd never do more than one at a time again with Sophie. I know its different..but I still don't trust these vaccines...and Yorkies are little dogs...Your right to be cautious.

For those of you that didn't know...that is the reason for my Yorkie Talk name...Annadoodle...(for Annie...we called her Annadoodle the poodle)
