This is not true...please yorkies are indoor dogs!

they can catch their dewclaws on a throw, a blanket, a rug, sofa or chair fabric jumping up or down or merely digging or nesting they can get caught.

They remove it with a novocaine injection on older puppies. Ive had one pup have one of his grow back I caught it at about 8 weeks they removed it in seconds after the shot, he never whimpered a bit.
