I do need to add one thing here..all of the dogs were med and big size breed dogs that romped outside..so it may not be a problem with your pup being a yorkie. The only small dogs I've ever owned was a cocker spaniel, my yorkies and my mini pin and they all had their dew claws removed. So as dawn said it may not be a problem..
