Yeah, I volunteer with a rescue, so I have that same sick feeling. The late summer and fall are going to be particularly rough. So many people right now are adopting or buying animals because they’re home and they’re bored. Too many of those are going to become inconvenient when they go back to work or want to go out / travel more.

I spoke to the vet’s office again last week. Still no elective surgeries. They promised to let me know when the neuter can be scheduled, but for now we have to wait.
