Default Do Yorkies have frequent breathing problems?

Not sure if I can explain this right. I inherited my sons Yorkie who is about 18 months old. I love this little girl so much that I think I over worry about her which is not like me as Im a nurse and am usually practical. She is a very active, playful dog most of the time and does not seem in any distress, but when I hold her close it seems that breathing takes alot of effort for her. I have heard about collapsing trachea in these dogs...is this a lesser form of this or is this just the way they are built. I have two other small dogs(a Yorkiepoo and a Maltese) and neither of them breath the way she does. I have not taken her to the vet yet as she has been healthy and does not need any shots yet. If you can give me any advice or information Id appreciate it.
