So that had me choosing BalanceIt but then I heard that their supplement is very synthetic and it's three times as expensive as Just Food For Dogs which is also right down the street.
All that being said, I went with Just Food For Dogs Beef and Russet Potato recipe and supplement which also called for fish oil, which I purchased. I made a 5 pound recipe which is half of their full recipe and should last two weeks. So far he loves it and has adjusted to it. The prob is that i like to switch up his meals so he doesn't have to eat the same every day of the year so I may have to buy the other supplement for one of their other recipes!
This recipe calls for Ground beef, beef liver, potato, sweet potato, carrots, green beans, peas, and apple with safflower oil, fish oil, and their supplement.
What do you all think? |
I like JFFD a lot!
A lot of other stuff you were feeding tends to be high in fat (the Orijen freeze dried raw is very high in fat) and with Yorkies being prone to pancreatitis, and me suffering though a dog with it, it's not something I am comfortable with.
Sounds like you are on the right path!

They have very good customer service so I am sure would be able to answer any specific questions regarding their food and recipes.
