We have really seen an uptick in demands here! When we lost Beau at the end of January, we started taking Gus and Ty for daily walks...Beau had gotten too frail, and it was not fair to leave him home alone while we took the young ones. The minute we finish breakfast we are treated to a show of Tyrone standing on his hind legs and spinning n a circle by their harnesses.
Although we are both retired, my husband plays golf three mornings a week, and now he is home every day, all day. (As I am typing this, he is on the floor playing tug-of-war with Tyrone and fetch with Gus).
They give us brief permission to accomplish tasks (while they sleep on our laps if possible), but when our breaks are over, we can expect barking or having Gus climb up our chest to stare us in the eye. All that being said, we are so grateful for having them in our lives, and wouldn't have it any other way!
