I can only comb Reggie when he's almost asleep but he's getting better now. I also do only small amounts at a time and I try very hard not to pull the tangles. I try to coax them out with the comb so it doesn't hurt him. He doesn't mind being combed but when he's feeling energetic, everything is a play toy to him.
