He also was switched to K/D Diet which helps slow the disease down. There is also an early detection test called SDMA that can be done in-house that Thumper gets twice a year. It is an early indication of kidney disease.
So far his kidneys are stable despite him having other issues. I think changing his diet and monitoring helped. Hopefully, Chewie only needs to be monitored at the moment. |
We got the full spectrum results... well, we are now pending testing for the actual dx with the other issue, yesterday. They did the SDMA and GI panel. We were told her kidneys are older than her age but nothing else at the moment is of concern pending the SDMA. That, and she now has Lymphangiectasia and addisons tests being ran due to the stripes on her intestines, which is what the GI panel is. Thank you, being told this helps.
