If it’s of any interest, here in England it is reported that although tests showed virus cells on the dogs they were most likely residue from their infected owner as the dogs did not become sick. No dogs tested here have been positive. At 17 the Pomeranian was said to most likely have died from age related conditions accelerated by separation anxiety & the subsequent stress of being apart from it’s owner while in quarantine .
Some pet cats have tested positive & been found to pass the virus between both themselves & humans but no such results have been found in dogs.
