Thank you everyone for the nice birthday wishes for Bella! Just sharing that Bella is CKC registered. Her dad is from the US and was a champion show dog and also her cousin. As first time dog owners, we wanted a pure bred yorkie and the only way to know for sure was to get a CKC registered dog with the documentation. There were others, selling yorkies that were cheaper and we had no know way of knowing if they were from puppy mills or not since there was no paper documentation.
The breeder asked us to pick Bella up at 8 weeks because they had to go out of town. I realized from this forum that 12 weeks is more normal to pick up a puppy but regardless we did our best to take her to the vet for checkup the very next day and socialized her by taking her to puppy pet training classes as soon as we could. Bella is a wonderful companion today. I love how she follows us from room to room in our house. She would just walk in quietly and lie down next to you without you even knowing she's there, just too sweet! lol
