I'm so very sorry to hear about the passing of your husband and Dudley and brother's dad. That is so incredibly sad.
And it is probably doubly sad for the pups because they don't understand why he hasn't returned. I suggest trying to keep them distracted at their most worrisome times, perhaps with a walk or a trip to the park. The change in routine would probably be good for you as well.
