I throw away the ends. I usually buy the 12" ones rather than the 6" so they last longer, since I still throw away the last 2 inches or so. I also look for the thickest ones, since those take longer. I am able to get them at several local dog "boutiques" They have the Merrick brand, which I really like. We tried the ones from petsmart once and they were smelly, gross, and I didn't feel right about it. The Merrick ones are made in the USA and they stand behind their products. Anyway, I recently ordered from Merrick because I wanted to save some money. I paid about $1 less per stick and got free shipping! |
