I am so sorry for you loss. When my Mom's husband passed, their mini-pin (Tessa) went through the same thing. I'm sorry, I don't have any brilliant ideas to help you or your baby's through this tough time, but I do know Tessa quit eating and became very sick. Just something to keep in mind and watch for. Lots of time and lots of love, that's all you can do right now to help them.
