Default puppy

Perhaps, they are not aware of the actual weight of their adults. I have had many people bring me a Yorkie to be groomed and tell me on the phone it weighs 3 or 4 pounds..I get out the scale and it weighs 6. Maybe the breeders are uninformed as to how to judge adult weight.
What reason would there be for them to make her younger? You could talk to the vet and see what information they have..age shots were given and check-ups.
A single pup in a litter can get big fast..but they level off by 6 to 8 weeks and become what they are genetical programmed to be size-wise..being a singleton does not meant the pup will be large or small as an adult.
