If you mean by the toe area, if she jumped off something maybe she landed wrong and the front part of the paw went under, she could have gotten her paw caught on something and hurt it trying to pull the paw out. Two months ago my dog flew out onto the deck, there is a 3 foot high railing enclosed with lattice, he leaped at the lattice because he saw a squirrel in a tree, I saw how he hit that lattice, I saw his paw bent backwards, sure enough he started limping. He was able to jump on and off the bed so I knew it wasn't a ER visit. I kept him calm and leased for potty breaks. It took a month for him to lose the limp.
