Boy, I share your pain on this one! I am such an over-protective yorkie mom with mine. I hate to even have their feet touch the grass for fear of fleas or ticks or parasites then I hate to let them get too far ahead on the leash for fear of any danger. But then I have to stop and think that is mostly in my head and just let them be dogs sometimes. I do the best I can to be on my toes, ready to scoop them up at any sight of possible danger. We love our babies SO MUCH, don't we?? All we can do is protect them as best we can, but the world can't stop turning, I guess.
