Saying that it is for health reasons and taking their organs is like saying if Humans had one lung removed they would be 50% less likely to have Lung Cancer. Then lining us all up for surgery we do not need. |
There is no reason not to spay a female dog unless being used for breeding and it’s much different then removing a lung. It keeps multiple cancers from happening not just uterine but mammary cancer as well. It also keeps the female from getting an infection called pyometra which is deadly even if you do get an emergency spay when they get it which in the necessary 24 hours they can still die. If not breeding it’s not being used and becomes a ticking time bomb.
