When I went into this store to check on the other type of this dog food, there was a man listening to me telling the owner about the rise and arsenic and if rice was the 2nd ingredient and blah blah blah, the man came over to me, he told me he was a food nutritionist and gave me a list of his credentials, it was as long as my arm lol. We talked about this rice issue and about the grain free food and about the company that makes the food Cody is now eating. He assured me there was no risk in feeding my dog with rice as the 2nd ingredient.
I am emailing my vet the article from that link and asking if its safe to continue feeding him this food. I bought a bag of Salmon hoping it will stop Cody from scratching, I am going to start him on it tomorrow.
As far as this man I spoke with lol, like ppl on the internet they can say they are a Anthropologist lol, how would I know. I will follow what my vet advises.
I don't change foods if Cody likes what he's eating. I had 3 girls that drove me crazy trying to find a food all 3 would eat. As long as he eats it I will buy it.
I had started him on Natural Balance limited ingredients, he ate that for 1 1/2 years then just stopped, I tried various types rabbit, venison, bison, he wouldn't eat it. When I bought the Wellness Core grain free he loved it and he's been on that for 4 1/2 years. He gets no table food what so ever. Once every 2 weeks I'll boil a chicken cutlet and give him that in a separate bowl as a treat. Other then that he eats the dry food. I don't need a picky eater because I feel he needs a change.
