It is a balence! I respectg how you draw the balence for you and your dogs.
Ppl that love their animals and consider them family do not put their animals life at risk. They do all they can to keep them safe. A dog that has never ran free does not know what its like, so a dog can't miss what it never had. You make all choices for your dog, if you want to gamble and take the risk then do it. I just pray when you have small children your thoughts about "risk, safety and life" have changed. All your choices.
