As for the puppy, You MUST put open her little mouth, squeeze milk out and clamp her little mouth around the nipple. She has no competetion so getting her enough milk will be easy. You have to do this every hour..weigh the baby on a scale that weighs tenths of ounces. Vickie MUST gain weight immediately so you might have to supple,mental feed. Weigh her a.m. and p.m. and chart it.
I ALWAYS give my babies a dose of BeneBac or acidophilus when my moms have had antibiotics. It is the good bacteria that their digestive system uses to digest food and the antibiotics go thru the milk and kills that good bacteria.
Your mom can only take Amoxycillen to be safe with the baby.
