I know where you are coming from. When my husband and I got married we had a 2wk. honeymoon and left my 4 kids and my 12wk. old yorkie with my step mom. It was the longest 2wks of my life. Just last summer we went on a wk long vacation and left the yorkie with my sister. We almost got divorced over that one. I told him next time he plans a vacation he better plan on the yorkie too. If not he could take the kids and I'd stay with the dog. LOL Seriously, everything will be fine. You are not overreacting though. I totally understand were you're coming from.
