Hi all,
My pup is 14 yrs old, has been diagnosed with collapsing trachea, chronic bronchitis and mild pulmonary hypertension. He coughs A LOT! Brought him to a cardiologist and he was diagnosed with early stages of pulmonary hypertension and they felt no treatment was needed as of yet. The vet and cardiologist felt that the majority of his coughing was due to the bronchitis. They suggested tussigon, and prednisone but were willing to start him on viagra if I chose to. I opted to see if the prednisone would help first. He has been on the prednisone and tussigon for almost a week now and I have seen little improvment. Thinking of starting him on viagra. Any thoughts or insight is appreciated!
