That's the bad part of routines, when they are broken. I have no suggestions other then, when it's time Joey usually goes up to your dad's you do something special with him to take his mind off grandpa's not here. Just you and Joey for a 1/2 hour and give him that treat. Joey is going to put you through hell if that time is not filled in.
Hopefully other members have gone through a similar situation and can offer up some suggestions.
