Default out of town issues

Well I want to give some back story first. I have lived with my grandparents since I was 13. It just kinda worked out best that way. Well 7 or 8 years ago my uncle bought us a house that was one story but had a loft upstairs. Well he eventually turned that into a little apartment because at some point we all knew my parents would have to move in to help. Well when my Grandfather died 4 years ago they moved in. Well my pups are always excited to see my dad their Grandpy when he comes home. When he is late they all are kinda high strung and Penny thinks every car going down the road is him and barks. Well ever since I had Joey my dad would take him upstairs to play for 45 minutes before bed. Joey will even start crying and barking at him when it gets close to time for that. Well here is the issue not this coming week but the week after my dad will be out of town doing stuff for the union he is in for at least 6 days. My dad never really leaves town like that. I am just preparing for the nightmare of trying to keep them chill and Joey not so very upset that his routine is going to be changed. Callie and Joey are very stuck on routines where as Penny and Ollie aren't. Joey also usually gets a chew while upstairs with my dad but I can't do that with all of them because it seems every chew blows Callie's IBD up and she gets diarrhea and thinks she is passing gas but she is actually passing a little bit of diarrhea at the same time. Any one have any suggestions? Prayers and good thoughts are also very much appreciated.
